Wings: Letters From Your Angel

Good Morning Dear Heart:

I have been worried about your resistance to change. The universe has been illustrating cycles and transformations throughout all time. I have enjoyed watching you marvel at the varied colours of Autumn and the first blossoms of Springtime. Your children are transforming as they grow up. They were such delightful babies full of sweetness and innocence. Today they are growing full of promise and enthusiasm for life. You have lived in different houses and have travelled in diverse parts of the world. You drove a different car not very long ago and you enjoy contrast in your friendships. Change is the cornerstone of all that makes life interesting and challenging. Change requires growth, patience, acceptance, and curiosity. Change is only frightening when it is new. When we become comfortable with a recent change it becomes what we most want to hold on to...in fact it becomes the reason we resist another something new. You have such an adventurous spirit. I love the pioneer in you and am astounded by your ability to shape your life like an artist with her clay. If you did not welcome change in your past, your life would be devoid of the sweet memories of how it used to be. If your life had remained exactly the same you might not even be aware of the passage of time. Time is interpreted as a sequence of events one after the other. Which event are you enjoying for this moment? Your life is defined by a series of opposites too: youth-old age; birth-death; health-illness; wealth-poverty; joy-sadness; isolation-company and so on. Change is the necessary ingredient that will catapult you from one circumstance to its mirror state. Change is essential for you and I to experience the fullness of life. I love you dear heart and beg you to trust that your life is not finished. Embrace this next change. Love your days and enjoy the newness of this experience. I am inside waiting to hear your laughter and your joy as you welcome what the world longs to provide. I applaud your most courageous self.
