An angel comes to stay
With your child born today
To love and to protect
This child from harmful effect
And to guide gently by the hand
This small one through the land
To a country where they dance
To sing and know the romance
Of a God who wants them to be
The best they can ever be
And that angel is there
To make them aware
How special they are
To all near and far.
Congratulations on the birth of your child.
I hear you've been hunting for treasure
And only turning up petty cash,
Out there looking for jewels and gold
But all you're finding is a bunch of trash.
Hey, it's not where you look or what you say;
It only takes faith and a little trust
To turn up that which was always there,
To see beyond the junk and the rust.
Perhaps if you look with eyes that see
You might find a pearl or some great stone
Simply by trusting an angel or two
And knowing that you neer work alone.
For angels are known to guide our shovels
As tey push their way into the ground
For each of us has a special Someone
An angel to follow us around
And aid us in our time of need and hurt,
Those times of distress and despair,
As they hug us with their very great wings
And guide us to the love that ever stood there.
Cheer up and have a great day!
There's an angel for this,
An angel for that,
All those angels wearing
Each a different hat;
Some hats a little off-white,
Others coated with red,
All worn by angel folk
Who keep our souls fed.
A little piece of heaven
To this earth they bring
As they do go about,
As they dance and sing
With their hearts afire
And filled with music
While they bring hope and faith
And show us their magic.
'Cause there's an angel for Christmas,
One for Easter's glow,
An angel for each of us
Wherever we go;
One for travelling abroad,
One for staying at home,
Whatever we may do
Wherever we roam,
They take us by the hand
And they guide us through
All the good and the bad.
They shall always be true.
